Keep building on your pup’s great start!
Intermediate Puppy Training is the perfect second class for your new puppy. In this class, you’ll expand on and refine all those techniques and behaviors you learned in Beginning Puppy Training.
Our goal is to provide a safe and fun learning environment that will provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to successfully work with your pup to get the kind of behavior you like, both at home and out in the real world. This is especially helpful for your pup’s “teenage” period.
In this class we’ll continue to present you and your dog with real life challenges so that you can learn how to get your pup to work with you wherever you happen to be. Our classes are focused on giving you and your dog the tools to be comfortable and confident wherever you may be!
Coursework Includes (but not limited to):
Loose leash walking and beginner heel work
Stay's with distractions (upping the level of distractions)
Strengthing handling techniques so you can safely handle your puppy and s/he is comfortable being handled by others
Leave it/Drop it (learning the important difference between the two)
Recall (Come when called)
You’ll even learn some fun tricks so your dog can impress friends and family alike!
Intermediate Puppy Training is 6 consecutive weeks long unless skip dates are noted below. Each session is on the same day and time each week that the class began (As an Example: Tuesday 6:15 start date will always meet Tuesdays at 6:15 )and class lasts approximately 50 minutes. Pups attend every session with you and/or your entire family.
This class is designed specifically to meet the training needs of pups that are 18 weeks-12 months old when class begins and have recently completed a beginning level puppy training class. You will be required to provide proof of current, age appropriate vaccinations. Click here to review all our group dog class rules and policies.
Our Beginning Puppy Training and Intermediate Puppy Training classes are a complete training track for puppies.
