Happy Ending for Cowboy ![]() Cowboy the cat Cowboy, a 7-month-old kitty, was brought to HSSV with a broken leg when his family was unable to afford his medical care. Sadly, we found that Cowboy's leg fracture had happened a while ago, and we feared we might have to amputate his leg. Also, Cowboy had not been neutered and had ear mites. Fortunately, we were able to save his leg by having large pins surgically implanted. While Cowboy was recovering, he soon became a favorite of staff and volunteers. Even though he'd been in pain for some time, he was sweet and loving to all. Upon his recovery, we found a wonderful new home for Cowboy with Marina and Gordon. We recently heard from Marina and she told us that Cowboy is doing great and recently passed his physical with flying colors! His leg isn't slowing him down at all...he's very playful and especially loves his bird toy and chasing laser beams! He's also very affectionate and loves to cuddle. Marina says that they love Cowboy very much and are so happy that he joined their family. |
