Potter ![]() Now a permanent member of his foster family's home Potter, a 4-year-old Maine Coon mix, was surrendered to HSSV because his family couldn't afford to keep him. Potter came in with old frostbite scars on the tips of his ears. He also had an old scar on his forehead from being hit by a car and a scratch on one eye that had been left on its own to heal. Despite all of this, we found Potter to be a very sweet, laid-back fellow who soon won all our hearts. On Christmas Eve, after being at HSSV for six weeks, we called Maine Coon Adoptions, a breed-specific rescue group, and that very night Potter was taken home by Mary, who volunteers for HSSV and Maine Coon Adoptions. She decided to foster him and spoil him while trying to find him a wonderful new home. It wasn't long before Mary and her husband, Rob, decided that they couldn't give him up. He was such an important part of their family along with other kitties, Boomer, Grace and Lola. Mary says that Potter has a huge personality and is very self-confident...he'll lie in anyone's lap. On his first trip to their vet for a check-up, he rolled over on his back on the exam table! Now that's relaxed! |
