Our 4 Animals Best animals that were ever adopted from HSSV We adopted a total of 4 animals from HSSV, 2 dogs & 2 cats. Our first dog, Ariel, was adopted in June, 1993 & has since died. While Ariel was alive, we adopted Joy, our Border Collie mix, which was in March, 2002. Since my last success story, Joy has blossomed even more. She's 7 1/2 years old now & still as active as when she was a 10 week old puppy. She's really funny as she likes to talk, telling us off if we're too slow to get her the ball or to give her a treat for doing something good.Our 2 cats are Julius (7 1/2 year old Orange Tabby) & Kirby (18 months old Grey, Black, & a little White Tabby) love each other. Julius was in my previous success story also. He's a wonderful young man now, & is a father image to Kirby. Kirby, who we adopted from HSSV earlier this year (2009) is an affectionate young man. He loves to play with Julius as well as his toys. Julius constantly cleans Kirby & Kirby pays Julius back by cleaning him. When it's bed time, both Julius & Kirby always lay with my daughter on her bed & go to sleep with her. It's as though they're protecting her. We now live in Modesto, CA & will always go to HSSV to adopt an animal. I always tell my family & friends that if they want to adopt an animal, go to HSSV first. |
