The Sue and Dick Levy Dog Park

Voted Best Dog Park 2010
[object Object]

The member’s only dog park at Humane Society Silicon Valley’s Animal Community Center is Silicon Valley’s first park for savvy and sophisticated dogs and their owners!  This clean, regularly-maintained turf-park boasts:

  • separate play areas for small and large dogs,
  • multiple double-entry gates for park safety,
  • contoured rolling hill topography,
  • play pools with fresh water,
  • clean-up stations,
  • abundant parking close to the parks, and
  • picnic benches covered by umbrellas.

The goal of the member’s only dog park at our new Animal Community Center is to provide a fun, social, and safe play environment for dogs and their people! To help achieve this goal, all canine dog park members have been screened for friendly, social behavior toward people and other dogs.

The parks are open 7 days a week, 365 days a year!  Regular hours of operation are:
Weekdays from 7am - 10am and 2pm - 8pm
Weekends from 8am - 8pm

On occasion, the parks may be closed for severe weather (e.g. heat waves, thunder-storms) as well as special events.  In such cases of park closures, members will be given advance notice via our HSSV ACC Park Online Community.

Membership Requirements

To be considered for membership, dogs must be:

  • spayed or neutered,
  • current on their vaccinations (DA2PP, Bordatella, and Rabies*), and
  • be at least six months old.

Also, to be considered for membership, all dogs must pass a basic behavior screening** that looks for friendly and social behaviors to be displayed with people and other dogs. Dogs that are aggressive toward people or other dogs, are excessively under-socialized or fearful, or are frustrated by barriers like fences or leashes may not be good candidates for membership. Dogs who display such challenges may receive behavior modification or management recommendations from our Behavior & Training Team instead of being offered membership.  It is our goal to ensure all member dogs will benefit from the dog park experience!

*A Rabies Titer Test may be substituted for a current rabies vaccination.
**Behavior screenings are held by appointment and typically occur on Wednesday evenings. Our staff will contact you once we have reviewed your dog's application to arrange this appointment.

Membership Costs

The cost of membership to the dog park is $100/year for one dog; additional household dogs on the same membership may be added for $25 each.  This gives you access to the park 7 days a week, 365 days a year!  That's just 27 cents a day.

Fees must be paid in full at the beginning of your membership.

You can feel good knowing that all dog park membership fees go to support homeless animals in our community!

Membership Benefits

At HSSV, we offer services for the cycle of your pet’s life!  The Sue and Dick Levy Dog Park members receive special discounts in our Medical Clinic and in our Whole Pets store. You’ll also receive discounts on Dog Training Classes and Grooming Services at the Animal Community Center.

Membership Application

Please note, we are not currently accepting new membership applications.

Please visit this page again starting January 5, 2015 to apply for park membership.

Happy Holidays to you and your dog!

Group screenings are held Wednesday evenings (either at 5pm or 6pm), are restricted by dog size, and are by appointment only.
Please expect it may take up to a week before we can respond to your application and schedule your dog’s behavior screening. Behavior screenings are subject to weather changes, and will be postponed for rain checks.
