If you have a spare room, a flexible schedule and a warm heart, please consider becoming a foster parent for the Humane Society Silicon Valley! In exchange for free room and board, we can promise you lots of hugs and purrs! Foster parents care for young kittens and cats that aren't quite ready for adoption, or need extra space! To learn more, please see our feline foster care page here:
Anyone who has experienced a loss or anticipates such a loss is invited to attend the HSSV Companion Animal Loss Support Group. The group helps grieving pet owners heal the pain by working through their feelings of loss, anger, and depression.
The meetings are hosted by Vicki Traylor and held at the shelter on the first Tuesday of each month from 6:30 p.m. 7:30 p.m.. You may attend an unlimited number of meetings and are encouraged to return to help others work through their grief e
Every Saturday from 12PM - 2PM we have some of our available foster dogs at our Animal Community Center. Not only do some of our amazing foster dogs come to the center but we also invite other rescue groups to the event too! It's totally worth it to make it down to this event!
